Substance use disorders affect approximately 44.0 million adults in the United States. Various payer quality metrics are focused on improving these statistics, but these are a microcosm of the many quality metrics physicians are tasked wtih addressing. The PANDA project aims to close the gap by implementing evidence-based practices in support of earlier identification and intervention utilizing a team-based approach to care. This webinar will go through the quality improvement process from idea conception through a pilot model with coding and billing opportunities identified.

In addition to coding related topics, Melissa enjoys presenting on teamwork and communication skills. Toastmasters International has awarded her its highest honor, Distinguished Toastmaster. Her communication skills make her a sought-after speaker at seminars and conventions. Melissa served as co-director for the annual “Coding on the River” convention in Jacksonville, Florida for several years and served on the AAPCCA Board of Directors from 2009-2012. She enjoys helping others earn their coding credentials and watching them flourish in their chosen professions.
