Want to use eBooks for your exam? Members now have the option of using printed books or eBooks while taking their certification exam.

You can purchase your preferred book format when you purchase your exam voucher. Then, when scheduling your exam, you'll have the option to select whether you want to take your exam with printed books or eBooks. You can even change your mind up to 48 hours before the exam. The experience purchasing exams has been adjusted to reflect AAPC's move to fully electronic exam testing options - eliminating paper and pencil exams.

Please note:

• With exam purchases, you can now choose between an electronic 2-attempt or 1-attempt voucher.

• The electronic exam voucher is redeemable for a test format of your choice:

  • *Live Remote Proctored exam: taken on a computer at a location of your choice. It requires a closed room with window coverings, free from distraction or interruption, a high-speed internet connection, a computer, an external webcam, speakers, and a microphone. This exam is proctored (administered and supervised) via external webcam by our proctoring partner, ProctorU. *Option unavailable to members outside U.S., Bahamas and Jamaica.

  • Testing Center exam: Taken on a computer at a testing center, this exam does not require any special equipment from the test-taker. This exam is proctored (administered and supervised) by personnel at the testing center. This exciting new option for the U.S., Bahamas and Jamaica and will be available to schedule January 5, 2024.

You do not need to choose your method of testing upon exam voucher purchase. You will select your preferred testing format upon scheduling.

*Members with unused in-person exam vouchers will be notified that their voucher has been transferred to an electronic exam voucher after January 4, 2024.

We just released a new navigation layout (for the primary navigation) that improves mobile browsing and elevates a few items that were previous buried deeper in the site. We've, also, separated B2B/Corporate navigation items so business users can find things easier. We'll continue to evolve the navigation and search to better help you find what you're after quicker.

Your AAPC Dashboard has a new look. This redesign makes it easier than ever to access all your information about membership, certifications, CEUs, and more.  

When you log into your account, you’ll now notice your dashboard  — a one-stop shop to quickly access all your AAPC account information. From here, you can access any details about your membership:  

• Purchases: Find all your purchases, subscriptions, credits, and receipts. 

• Subscriptions: Find and manage all your subscriptions.

• Courses and Exams: Find all your educational courses and certification exam vouchers and/or results here. 

• Certifications and CEUs: Track your certification status — from getting started through maintenance with the CEU Tracker. 

• Profile and Preferences: This includes personal details you provide so we can provide you with relevant content.   

• Membership: Renew your membership and download your ID card. 

• Benefits: Access AAPC the Magazine, free members-only webinars, partner discounts, and more. 

• Local Chapter: Stay up to date on your local AAPC chapter news, events, and community. If you’re a chapter officer, you’ll find all your officer resources here. 

While navigating to anything in your AAPC account, you can quickly view any of these sections in the left navigation under “My Account” or by clicking on your name in the upper right corner.
