With the importance of hospital quality data, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement and other quality and financial factors, it is crucial to understand the infectious disease coding world, the latest clinical definitions and “jargon” used so the correct coding and documentation can becompleted accurate.

In this webinar, we will look at recent changes to the sepsis definitions and how they do not align with the current coding conventions. More importantly, by understanding these differences, you will be able to communicate, either in person or by query, with the clinicians. When two people are speaking different languages, they think they understand each other but the final result can be far apart.
