CMS Sets April Dates For Hospice Quality Reporting Training

Mark your calendars for a free opportunity to find out about Medicare's hospice quality reporting requirement straight from the horse's mouth. CMS will hold training webinars on April 11 (1-2:30 EST) and April 19 (3-4:30 EST), it says on its website. The webinars will be identical and will cover both new quality measures -- the structural/QAPI measure and the NQF pain measure. Remember: "These measures are required for data collection in 2012, data submission in 2013, and will impact hospice's annual payment update for FY 2014," CMS points out. "For fiscal year 2014, and each subsequent year, failure to submit required quality data shall result in a 2 percentage point reduction to the market basket percentage increase for that fiscal year," the agency explains on its hospice quality reporting website.
