Tarheel State To See New Hospice Facility

The number of inpatient hospice facilities continues to grow. In Newport, N.C., the state has approved the certificate of need for Crystal Coast Hospice House and partner Home Health and Hospice Care to build and operate a 10-bed inpatient hospice facility, reports the Jacksonville Daily News. The House aims to open in 2013. The nonprofit has received more than $4 million in pledges, donations, and grants toward the $5 million goal to fund the facility, the newspaper says.
