Dan is a veteran healthcare executive with over 25 years’ experience as an entrepreneur, builder, and operator of companies. He earned a Bachelor of Science from Brigham Young University and a Masters in Hospital Administration from University of Washington. After 10 years of consulting, Dan joined AAPC where he has served in a variety of roles including launching AAPC’s consulting division and associated software products (now Healthicity), creation of the certified professional practice management (CPPM) certification, and most recently overseeing AAPC’s international business expansion.

Farheen currently serves as a revenue integrity manager, bringing over 18 years of experience in the UAE across medical coding, billing, auditing, and clinical documentation improvement (CDI). Her expertise plays a crucial role in optimizing revenue, enhancing processes, leading teams, quality assurance, and maintaining compliance. Farheen's educational journey began with an MBBS and she holds a long list of credentials that demonstrate her proficiency across diverse revenue cycle management domains.

Accomplished digital transformation/AI leader with more than 3 decades of progressive leadership experience, in both USA and India. Built AI/data science team and delivered robust platform solutions to digitally transform Healthcare RCM business. Won AI Excellence award at the UBS Forums' "BPO Innovation Summit" consecutively for two years.

Hemamalini holds a postgraduate degree in Biochemistry and began her career as a biology teacher. She has 8+ years of experience in training and managing the medical coding training department at AGS, as well as 2+ years of experience as a compliance auditor. Additionally, she is a Certified Internal Auditor.

Michelle is currently the 360 Encompass product MEA. A registered nurse with over 20 years of experience in healthcare, her additional certifications augment her honors degree from the University of Johannesburg. As the trend towards analytics and informatics increases, her current focus is on artificial intelligence in healthcare. 

Ponmani is a highly skilled medical professional with a bachelor’s degree in physiotherapy and over 12 years of experience in revenue cycle management. Her extensive background includes 4 years working in US healthcare and over 8 years in the UAE. With hands-on expertise in outpatient and inpatient coding, auditing, denial management, reconciliation, and physician training on documentation. She brings a comprehensive understanding of the healthcare landscape. A key area of interest for her is collaborating closely with IT to develop rule engines that control rejections and enhance audit recovery efforts. 

Raemarie Jimenez has over 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry. She is a nationally recognized speaker and thought leader in the business of healthcare. She serves as a coding liaison to the AMA CPT® Editorial Panel. Over the past 15 years at AAPC, Jimenez has held a variety of responsibilities including leading the development of certification exams and exam preparation materials, overseeing the operations for exams, and distance learning and education licensing program departments. She is now AAPC’s President, Membership and Content.

Ramya has an impressive total of 23 years’ experience in coding and billing — spanning both US and UAE healthcare systems. She has made significant contributions to the industry, having published multiple articles in Coding Edge magazine and serving as a dedicated writer for BC Advantage magazine for four consecutive years. Ramya also led the local chapter for coders in Chennai, India and represented coding solutions at prominent conferences like HBMA and MGMA. Since 2008, she has been actively training doctors on documentation requirements, solidifying her expertise in this critical area.

In addition to her role at the Emirates Health Economics Society, Dr. Sara Al Dallal is a senior health service specialist at Dubai Health Authority. She is a medical doctor who graduated from the UAE University, College of Medicine and Health Sciences. She completed her internal medicine residency at Dubai Health Authority and holds a master’s degree in health care management.  

Sivakumar holds a Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy and brings over 14 years of experience in medical coding. With more than 8 years dedicated to training, he has guided fresh graduates entering the coding field, provided coding certification training, and facilitated specialty cross-training. In his current role as a Training Manager at Access Healthcare, he oversees a team of 20+ multi-specialty coding trainers, catering to diverse and ongoing customer coding needs. His core areas of expertise include Evaluation Management, HCC, Radiology, and Coding Denial Management. Sivakumar has been recognized with multiple awards for his outstanding training delivery and results.

Sreenivas is an aspiring medical coding leader with over 8 years of experience across multiple specialties, including Home Health Coding (HHC), Risk Adjustment Coding (HCC), and Pathology. In addition to being a Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Sreenivas has also attained the BCHH-C certification for home health. His accolades include a Certificate of Appreciation for Best Medical Coder at Aviacode India Pvt. Ltd. and the Best Trainer Award for Home Health Care Coding at INFINX Services Pvt. Ltd.

A seasoned coding professional with over 20 years of experience, Sunil Raj has been recognized for expertise in Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), having served as manager/director for major healthcare providers and payers in the UAE. His expertise has been demonstrated in revenue optimization, case management, insurance contracting, and denial management. For the past 4 years, he has served in the role of AAPC Dubai Chapter President. His deep passion for revenue cycle education is complemented by extensive experience in RCM automation and revenue audits.

With a master’s degree in pharmacy and an MBA, Bala Murali is an accomplished professional with over 13 years of in the healthcare industry. He also has significant experience across departments such as emergency, inpatient, surgery, and HCC. Currently, he holds the position of founder and managing director of ThoughtFlows.
