The median yearly income for Utah medical coders, billers, auditors, and other healthcare business professionals is $60,785, compared to the Mountain region’s overall median income of $63,589.

Our 2024 salary survey shows that the highest-paid people in Utah working in the business of healthcare make an average $110,000 and hold the CIRCC credential, among others.

The top three employers of healthcare business professionals in the state are large group practices (50+ physicians), medium group practices (11-49 physicians), and health systems.

Roughly 61.7 percent of healthcare business professionals in Utah work remotely, earning an average $66,036. A reported 19.1 percent work on site, earning an average $48,019, and 19.1 percent work partly onsite and partly remote (hybrid), earning an average $56,731.
