Our 2024 salary survey shows that the highest-paid people in Illinois working in the business of healthcare make an average $92,500 and hold the CPPM credential, among others.

The top three employers of healthcare business professionals in the state are hospitals (both outpatient & inpatient depts), health systems, and large group practices (50+ physicians).

Roughly 63.5 percent of healthcare business professionals in Illinois work remotely, earning an average $65,563. A reported 19.9 percent work on site, earning an average $57,860, and 16.6 percent work partly onsite and partly remote (hybrid), earning an average $71,722.
