The median yearly income for Florida medical coders, billers, auditors, and other healthcare business professionals is $63,990, compared to the South Atlantic region’s overall median income of $64,591.

Our 2024 salary survey shows that the highest-paid people in Florida working in the business of healthcare make an average $100,000 and hold the CFPC credential, among others.

The top three employers of healthcare business professionals in the state are hospitals (both outpatient & inpatient depts), large group practices (50+ physicians), and health systems.

Roughly 66.7 percent of healthcare business professionals in Florida work remotely, earning an average $65,356. A reported 21.5 percent work on site, earning an average $56,486, and 11.9 percent work partly onsite and partly remote (hybrid), earning an average $69,093.
