Aug. 15 is the freeze date for the next Hospice Compare refresh, a Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services official noted in the agency’s July 9 Open Door Forum for home health and hospice providers. In last year’s 2019 payment rule, CMS shortened the freeze date to about 4.5 months after the relevant quarter (see Eli’s HCW, Vol. XXVII, No. 29).
