CMS Sets PDGM Call
Tune in for new info. You may be able to kick your PDGM preparation into a higher gear after a new educational call from Medicare. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services will hold an Aug. 21 “Home Health Patient-Driven Groupings Model: Operational Issues Call,” the agency says in a message to providers. “During this call, learn information to help your agency prepare to implement billing changes for the Patient-Driven Groupings Model (PDGM) on January 1, 2020,” the message says. Topics covered include a billing and claims processing overview; OASIS data that will be used in the claims system; reporting new occurrence codes; period timing and admission source scenarios; and transition scenarios, CMS says.
