What are the requirements for taking a Live Remote Proctored exam?
You must meet the following requirements to take the Live Remote Proctored Exam. For detailed instruction, please watch our exam tutorial video.
Basic requirements
Current AAPC membership
Current email and valid address on file
Valid, unused electronic exam voucher
Live remote proctored exam selected upon scheduling with Meazure Learning.
A valid, government-issued photo ID. First and last name must EXACTLY match your exam confirmation. Temporary, paper, copies, or digital IDs are NOT permitted.
Space requirements
A closed room with window coverings, free from distraction or interruption. Testing in an open concept room is not permitted. Doors must remain closed for the duration of the exam. Any windows in the exam room must be non-transparent (i.e., closed blinds, or covered by curtains or cloth).
Equipment and technology requirements
A reliable, working computer with 2 BG of RAM or higher. Your computer must pass the minimum system requirements.
A reliable, high-speed internet connection. Wireless is acceptable; however, a wired connection is preferred. Your connection must meet the minimum upload and download speed of of 5 Mbps (10 Mbps is preferred). *If your connectivity breaks during your exam, you will need to contact ProctorU asap to connect again with your proctor during your exam time to avoid exam forfeiture.
An external webcam with minimum 720p resolution (1080 preferred) with a 6ft cord. You will be required place the webcam in a position that will show your face, hands, keyboard and surrounding desk (about 10 inches from keyboard). Click for webcam set up instruction.
Working speakers connected to the computer.
Working microphone connected to the computer. (Consider a webcam with built-in microphone.)
