We are an urgent care center and we also do occupational medicine. We are in the state of Virginia. For our claims to WC we bill the E/M and also the S9088 code. Some of the Workers Compensation carriers cover this code and some do not. This code is on the fee schedule for Virginia; however there is no real workaround with the commission. We do not have any contracts with the carriers. We do not want to balance bill the patient; however we are loosing this revenue. Any have any tips or tricks?
