I am working for a FQHC and we are implementing a detox program into one of our residential rehabilitation service center. Suppose to be in patient and out patient. I do not know what codes to use to bill these services. 99408 and 99409 are screenings with interventions(Insurance) G0396 and G0397 (Medicare) and H0049 and H0050 (medicaide)... Are these correct? Would I use a behavioral health code instead?

You bill for what is performed. Are they getting group psychotherapy? Individual psychotherapy? Are they having one-on-one visits with an MD? Are they seeing physical therapy? Occupational therapy? Team conferences of 30 minutes or more per patient?
