Can I use 99050 as an add on code to endoscopy procedures done in our office suite on Saturdays? I know I can add it to office visits, but for some reason I thought I could not add it to procedures. Thanks!

"Associated basic service"
In the CPT book under the medicine section, subsection Special Services, Procedures and Reports (where the code is listed), the notes state that "coded 99050-99060 are reported in addition to an associated basic service." While a "basic service" is not further defined, it would probably be difficult to classify some of those procedures as "basic services." An office visit, yes, but not so sure about a colonoscopy or whatever procedure is done at that time.

yes the 99050 and such codes can be added on to any other CPT code.
