Hello. Wondering how to assist one of my physicians with how to code a wart treatment.
He was with the patient for over an hour , used anesthesia and removed several (1-14) warts.
Has discussed with the patient in the office before and had him try home remedies, but they were unsuccessful.

Removal is not just one code. You need to know if it was full-thickness removal by cutting, benign, malignant (if malignant, what size); was there simple, intermediate, or complex closure; were they skin tags; were they sent for biopsy; were they common warts, plantar warts, actinic keratosis, or seborrheic keratosis that were removed by destruction (acid, freezing, laser, electrocautery), etc.
