can someone Clarify when a patient comes in for a flu shot only.
Will see physician.How would you code this visit.
 
Vaccine only - adult patient
Do z23
CPT 90471
CPT 90656 (or whatever flu vaccine you are using, they are all specific)

No visit if all the provider did was administer a vaccine.

Children have a different administration code as it includes counseling.
