Hello All, I have a question about what code should apply modif 59 to in during a procedure where 43239 and 43237 need to be reported. I was taught to code the most expensive procedure first, in this case 43239 and then add 59 to the second procedure. Another coder in my office is saying that modif 59 should be applied to the most expensive procedure, so the insurance will reduce the payment in the second procedure instead. Any answer will be appreciated. Thank you!
