Can I please get opinions on the correct way to code a final diagnosis of urethritis secondary to chlamydia and urethreitis secondary to gonnorhea?
Thank you in advance for any help.

I indexed urethritis in ICD-9 and the codes below are what I found and confirmed through the tabular section.

Urethritis, gonococcal
098.0 - Gonococcal infections, acute, of lower genitourinary tract
098.2 - Gonococcal infections, chronic, of lower genitourinary tract
The notes below 098.2 state to use the chronic code if duration is
stated as lasting longer than 2 months

Other nongonococcal urethritis [NGU]
099.41 - Chlamydia trachomatis (this one of 5 forms species under the genus
Chlamydia, so I would only code this if it is stated in the record)
099.49 - Other specified organism
