Has anyone every experienced this? We have a new doctor that specializes in converting total shoulders to reverse total shoulders. Would I bill it as 23474 because they are technically revising both the humeral and glenoid component or would I use an unlisted code?

Thanks!

Yes. I have a surgeon that does this on occasion. After extensive research, we found that 23474 is correct. I have used it and even submitted records when requested - payer agreed. You are removing both glenoid & humeral components and replacing them with new components.
