A patient came in following treatment for chlamydia. The diagnosis stated "Screening status post treatment" with a lab, 87490, ordered. I researched coding this before, and in my notes I have "for patients that have tests ordered after treatment, use aftercare code
V5889, when verifying if treatment was effective." However, I didn't write down the source of my information, and now another coder is disagreeing with me, suggesting that I should be coding these as follow ups, v6759. I've researched again, and cannot locate where I found this information!!!

Can anyone advise me on how to code this?
