Not sure how to code this. Patient was taken emergently to the OR.
The fracture was reduced anatomically and a Synthes six-hole one third tubular plate was applied to the anteromedial surface. Six 14 mm cortical screws were placed to temporarily maintain reduction. Two days later the patient is taken back to surgery for definitive treatment with IM nail.
CPT code 27507 ?? Unlisted compared to 20690?

For the plate and screws use 27507. For the nail procedure two days later use 27506-58 if it was known that the plates were indeed temporary. If it was not known that the nail procedure was needed it would be coded 27605-78.
