Hello, it is my understanding that as of 2025 telehealth policy will revert back to a rural only service except for ESRD or BH? Can anyone elaborate on this or what it means for Telehealth providers. Thank you

Here is a link to the FAQ for the proposed CY 2025 rule. There is a section on telehealth and I do not see that they are proposed a return to rural service only. Do you have information from someplace else?

From the CMS press release: "...However, absent Congressional action, beginning January 1, 2025, the statutory restrictions on geography, site of service, and practitioner type that existed prior to the COVID-19 PHE will go back into effect. After that date, people with Medicare will need to be in a rural area and a medical facility to receive non-behavioral health services via Medicare telehealth."

So if Congress doesn't take action by the end of the year, we will revert to pre-pandemic rules for telehealth on January 1.
