Hello, I need some input on this please.
Pt has a T7 compression fracture that ended up being treat with a thoracic fusion. Can you use Z47.89, Z98.1 and then S22.060S?

The correct ICD-10 code for a compression fracture of the thoracic spine is M48.54XA. This is the diagnosis to use for the repair/fusion.

Z47.89 is for orthopedic aftercare
If this is a new condition, Z47.89 is not used at this time.

Z98.1 is arthrodesis status
This code is used if the patient's spine was already surgically fused.
