If the pathology dictates "consistent with gastric polyp" would you code K31.7? I worked pathology for years and that is just how they dictate. Coders don't seem to want to code K31.7 if there is consistent with. What do most of you do?

Have a provider who performed an EGD and noted fundic gland polyps, but did not perform a biopsy. Is it appropriate to code the K31.7 if there was no biopsy performed, or would it be appropriate to code K31.89 - other disease of stomach? Thanks in advance.
