In New York, the results of STD testing is not allowed to be given over the phone. This requires an office visit. Often there are no symptoms prior to the test, just someone indicating MULTIPLE partners and a concern. When they return any suggestions on a chief complaint. If the results are not abnormal you would not for abnormal result. Look under V69 for high risk sexual behavior counseling. Just a possibility
