If a MD is personally performing on 3 cases (where the end times are overlapping with the start of the next case) and each case has a SRNA observing the MD, is it ok to change the function of the SRNA from observing to performing and the function of the MD from performing to medically directing (supervising) for these cases? The MD told me that this is how they handle these cases if the patient, on the current case, is stable they leave the SRNA with this patient to finish up while they go start a new case. I don't feel this is right but am unsure when it comes to SRNA's. What are your thoughts/opinions?
