Would anyone be willing to tell me what HCPCS codes they typically bill for a shoulder spica cast? It does not appear as though there is a HCPCS code specific to a shoulder spica.
Do you use a shoulder code, a body code, a combination of the two or something else?
 
Thank you graceroni13. We did see those codes but, weren't convinced they were correct given they do not specifically reference "spica" (as the hip code does). Given a spica would require additional supplies (and work) we thought we should be looking for a different code or combination of codes to correctly report. Ultimately, I think we've learned that these are rarely applied.
