Using fluoro, my doc injected the sacrococcygeal joint with depomedrol/marcaine/contrast and wants to bill 20605. However, this cpt requires RT/LT. Any advice? This is for coccyx pain. TIA!

Look at 27096 which includes fluoro, this can be billed with LT, RT, or 50 modifier, for bilateral. His note should state which side the injections was on.

Thanks for your reply, but this is not an SI joint injection. This is for the sacro-coccygeal joint. There is no laterality.

The sacrococcygeal joint code should be 20605 indicates without ultrasound guidance and if you are using fluoroscopy guidance have to code 77002 too.
RT/LT/50 not required with 20605.
