Hello,

My home health nurse spent time training staff on how to care for a patient in which she had been seeing twice weekly for home health visits. She billed G0490 which is her "normal" code for when she actually completes a home visit for a patient, however, on this particular day the patient was not involved. My nurse trained other nurses/MAs on how to care for the patient. I feel like I should be able to bill for the nurses time but G0490 wouldn't be appropriate because the patient was not involved in the training.

Thoughts?
