Hi !
How should we code resolved symtoms related to covid?
For example:
Patient had vomiting on monday and came on wednesday only for COVID test no more vomiting ,not other symtoms not exposure the only dx in the note is vomiting

If there was an E&M service and the reason for the encounter was the vomiting, then that's what you would code. Even though the symptom had resolved by the time of the encounter, if that's what is being evaluated, it's an appropriate diagnosis.

For the COVID test, you can code the vomiting if that was the reason that the test was performed. You can also code Z20.828 - per the most recent AHA and ICD-10 guidance, exposure is presumed during a pandemic.
