I have a radiologist that replaced just the access hub of a indwelling, tunneled, peritoneal drainage cath. This was put in 3 months prior and coded as 49418. Can this replacement be coded? What code would be appropriate? The only code I found that came close is 49325 but the replacement of the hub wasn't done during a laparoscopy. Thanks for the help!

I think you should code/bill for the service, but the laprascopic code is inappropriate IMO. I would recommend using an unlisted code. 49999.

HTH :)
