I am trying to find out if there is a code for an in patient administration code for oral Iodine inpatient hospital? Do you use the same code 79005?

There are no codes to cover admin of an oral medication which would in all likelihood be administered by the facility staff.

This is actually for the doctor. He must be present when the administration is done. So would we charge E/M code or a special code?

If he documents enough elements for an E&M that is what you will get. Otherwise to supervise the administration of an oral med just has no specific or special code.
