Hip x-ray in OR – Currently reporting 76000. Images are stored but not read. The rads have asserted that they need to read all images stored.
Coding guidance says that if fluoro and images are taken, we need to report the images. some of our facilites are only reporting the fluoro, which is removed due to CCI edits, sometimes.
What if images are not diagnostic? Can we actually bill for that?

intraoperative hip is 73530 and you can used the dx for what the surgery is being done for.
