I need someone who has some experience with psychotherapy provided at a nursing home to a patient. Our first thought to bill this was 90816 since it states residential care facility. We are having some issues with out (Rural Health) Medicare carrier, so I first wanted to verify that this in fact is the correct CPT for psychotherapy provided in a nursing home or if residential facility only means treatment facilities.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
