I've been researching this all day and my brain is fried. My MD is doing a discogram with PRP. I know PRP code is 0232T. I read somewhere if a physician is performing a surgical procedure along with the PRP, that you bill the surgical procedure and PRP would be inclusive. She wants to have the patient to sign a waiver and pay for the PRP kits since they are not covered by insurance (experimental). I don't know if this is appropriate. The kits cost her way more then what she would be reimbursed for the discogram(she does this with epidural injections also). Any input would be greatly appreciated.
