Image guidance is done for frontal sinusotomy with balloon assist. A propel mini stent was placed in the frontal sinus drainage pathway and expanded to contact all sides. Nasal passages suctioned free of debris.
Procedures were done with frontal sinusotomy endoscopic revision with balloon assist.
Are 31296 and 61782 the only codes to bill?
Or is there one for propel stent placement for drainage and frontal recess dissection?
thank you

Propel stents cannot be coded if work is performed in the sinus where the stent is placed. Only the BSD (31296) or a frontal sinusotomy (31276) are coded. 31296 if NO tissue is removed and the ostia is opened with the balloon only. You would code 31276 if in addition to the balloon sinus dilation, the surgeon removed some tissue from the frontal sinus(es).
