Our providers are using Prolaryn Gel to inject a patient's vocal cords. We are having trouble with the way it is converted to be billed out. We are currently using the cpt codes 31574 and the HCPCS code L8607. These codes are being paid without any problems. However, the problem we are running into is converting the 1 CC gel into units. There is 1.0 cc of gel in the container that the product comes in. This is the L8607 cpt code. We have to bill out in units, so therefore it has to be converted from cc to units. Is anyone else using this product having to convert it this way? If so, any help would be greatly appreciated.
