Does anyone have any insight on billing for preventative care required by PCMH and other incentive programs. We are billing for things like Self Management Goals and Health Risk Assessments but they are being denied by the very companies that are asking us to complete them.

We need to be able to track that we are completing this care for the patient by billing codes but the denials are offseting out A/R?

Any suggestions? :confused::confused:
 
I'm not familiar with those codes. Maybe i miss understood your question. Are you doing a physical for health insurance discounts, where they need to qualify for certaain things?
 
Yes, we are billing the physical but certain plans have indicated that will code services such as when a patient completes a fall assessment or we do Self Management goals for a patient for patient centered medical home. We are billing the codes but not getting paid and I am wondering if anyone else is billing for such services?
