Hello! Hoping to get some input/help. I have a patient who presented for postpartum care. She has gestational diabetes and preeclampsia. Now, the provider had used gestational diabetes complicating childbirth, o13.4. I cannot find any document that specifies when to use gestational diabetes in pregnancy, complicating childbirth, or puerperium. Can someone else enlighten me? We are a family practice so I don't get these too often. I know that usually preeclampsia resolves typically after childbirth, but would you use preeclampsia complicating puerperium if it's still an issue? And would this be the same for her diabetes? Sorry, so confusing but could really use some help. Thanks so much!
