Our physician was on call and saw a woman (not our patient) who had a home birth, and then started hemorrhaging, so was transported to the hospital. He did a bedside ultrasound and manually cleared out several clots that were found. No D&C though. She was admitted to Labor & Delivery, and discharged the same day. I am not sure what CPT codes need to be billed, but am pretty sure the dx code is O72.2. Has anyone coded a situation like this before? Thank you!!
