Procedures Performed: 1. Rt knee percutaneous fixation of lateral tibial plateau fracture 2. Lateral meniscectomy, right knee scope (29881)
Description of procedure:...The right lower extremity was preppe and draped in sterile manner after which the lateral tibial plateau was identified under fluoroscopic views following which, utilizing the Zimmer calcium phosphate system, a single trocar was inserted into the lateral tibial plateau. Fracture site was identified after which calcium phosphate was then injected into and around the lateral tibial plateau fracture. Once this had completely hardened, the trocar was removed. ....lateral compartment revealed grade 2 changes about the lateral tibial joint. there was noted to be a complex lateral meniscal tear . A partial lateral meniscectomy was then carried forward.

I need help with the CPT for the fixation of the fracture. Would that be 29856?
Thank you,

If it was arthroscopic, then yes, but it could also be 29855 (unicondylar). I would talk to the doctor to confirm whether it was unicondylar or bicondylar.
