Can anyone clarify "through 18 years of age"? I'm very literal and taking that to mean until the patient's 19th birthday. I'm being told, no it's any day after the patient's 18th birthday. So, 18 years and 1 day we would use 90471 for vaccine admin and not 90460.

My understanding is 18 + 364 days. This is how our state Medicaid agency defines, "through 18 years of age." The alternate wording for a termination at the 18th birthday would be "to 18 years of age."
