How do I code a patellar tendon debridement with PRP injection? It does not state anywhere in the documentation that he performed a patellectomy to do this. Also, from what I have read, the PRP injection is included and not separately reportable.

You can't bill PRP to insurance. I've never known debridement of the patellar tendon to be done in the office. I would find out why the patellar tendon is being debrided, what diagnosis would you link to it?

Patellar tendinitis - M76.51. The patellar debridement was not done in the office.

I also have another question regarding PRP pertaining to another case I worked on. The provider performed right iliac crest harvested bone marrow concentrate injection/stem cell injection right shoulder in the setting of arthroscopic rotator cuff debridement/claviculectomy/subacromial decompression. Can I not code that with a 0232T?
