In obstetrics billing it is emphasized to bill from Chapter 15 codes. that is the O codes.
On an ultrasound when there is a finding of ovarian cyst or corpus luteum cyst, any cyst of the ovaries how would you/do you code this?
What O code precedes the N83 code?

I would code O34.80 - O34.83 depending on trimester
Maternal care for other abnormalities of pelvic organs.

Unless of course the physician documents that the issue does not affect the pregnancy, then Z33.1.
