Good morning,

I was wondering if any of you can assist me, my provider is a children’s orthopedist and she has advised that there is a CPT / HCPCS code for osteoporosis screening, kind of like the G code Medicare uses for smoking cessation. I’ve done research and the only thing I was able to come up with is ICD-10 codes for the osteoporosis screening, no CPT nor HCPCS code. Can anyone advise?

Thank you,

Thank you for getting back to me. Upon further research those G codes are PQRS codes, I believe this would have a good impact as far as quality of care being reported to Medicare. As far as reimbursement I don't believe reporting any of these codes would have an impact. I still have to research more on PQRS measures. Thank you again!
