Hi all,

Am interested in opinions on how you would code this scenario. Patient sustained a displaced proximal humerus fracture that was reduced in the ER, casted and patient set up to see Orthopod in clinic 4 weeks later. Patient went in to clinic, x-rays revealed loss of reduction and incomplete healing so decision was made to take patient to OR for ORIF.

Would you code this OR procedure as an initial ORIF: 23615 or a non-union repair with autograft (obtained from fx site): 24435?
