Hello! I'm trying to see if someone can help me. I used to have an OBGYN Newsletter subscription but an unable to find where to renew it. The only thing that i could find that was similar was the Revenue Cycle Insider, but i feel like this just allows me to search generally for publications. I'd really like to get back in to receiving OBGYN specific newsletters. TIA!:)

I'd suggest reaching out to AAPC directly. For me, I'm 99% sure it's part of my Codify subscription supplied and paid by my employer.

AAPC changed the newsletters at the end of 2024.. Now, we have to read 70 articles throughout the month that may or may not focus on our specialty. Then, at the end of the month, we need to take the quiz regarding the 70 articles read throughout the month in order to earn the CEU. I'm unsure if it's still .5 or they increased it to 1 CEU due to the amount of articles and time associated with their new format.

I was subscribed to the anesthesia newsletter but cancelled due to this new format. In my humble opinion, we have the monthly magazine to educate us on other aspects of coding and don't understand why they chose this new format. The previous newsletter was a great resource that I looked forward to reading monthly that was specifically about my specialty.

Hello, I had a similar question in December when my Ophthalmology newsletters discontinued but all of a sudden i got access to all specialties which was nice also. when i spoke to AAPC, they informed that they launched new project- Revenue Cycle Insider with all specialties. yesterday, i read all December letters for all kinds of specialties and took a quiz to earn CEU. i think that's how it's going to be from now on. As for old OBGYN, you can use the tab ' Retired letters" and it has a library of everything by year. you can also use search to type your topic and it will bring you a bunch of good materials from letters and our forum.
Dear Christine, Thank you very much for responding to my question on D/C E/M :)

I actually like this new format because now i have access to all specialties. i work in a multi specialty huge organization and we assign to code lots of different stuff so, having access to everything at AAPC is great to me. Also, we can use Retired tab and it will show you old stuff/letters. Ok, i just checked if my CEU were added automatically to my file and it didn't happen yet but i will wait longer. i took a picture of my successful quiz. The quiz was easy like in old times- only 5 questions for entire December and the articles were provided along= fantastic! I love AAPC! :) (not AHIMA)

That's wonderful for you and other coders who code different specialties. I don't and don't have the time each month to read 70+ articles. Now, I need to find another resource.

Going forward they have been discontinued, but we are still hear at the Coding Forum. I was the technical editor for the ob/gyn coding alert and have been the moderator for this forum since its beginning. So you will still get the answers you need and I believe the old issues are archived so if you have the coding program (Codify) for AAPC you can access and search the older issues.
