Wiki OB outside of global

Hi,

OB ptn present in office for regular OB visit (under Global-B/x of NY) on 12/13/2009.
Then ptn get into a car accident on 12/15/09 and reports to the office for ob evaluation the same day on 12/15/09 (outside of global visits).
Ptn has no comp./ no lacerations/ no bruises/+FHR/+FM. Ptn sent to Hospital for Sono (by protocol).
Q: Can this visit on 12/15/09 be billed outside of global and how do i code the Dx????

I would bill that outside the global with a -24 mod and using dx 646.83 then V71.4 indicating that this was a problem outside the normal pregnancy.

I would use 665.83 and the E code E819 series with -25 on the E&M.
