The documentation says that the EDC interval was closed. The provider is saying that he did a tendon repair. Does anyone have any good resources for the NIRSCHL procedure? I do not think that closing the EDC interval is considered a tendon repair. However, I am not all that familiar with the NIRSCHL procedure. He incised through muscle fascia at the interval between the ECRL and EDC, debrided soft tissue and bone, and closed the EDC interval , closed the skin with subcuticular 3-0 Vicryl and Dermabond. He wants to code 24359. I think it sounds like 24358?
Any suggestions?
